سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينَ
Al-Mutaffifin
Defrauding • Meccan • 36 Ayahs
1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
Sahih Int.
Woe to those who give less [than due],
BN
যারা মাপে কম করে, তাদের জন্যে দুর্ভোগ,

2
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
Sahih Int.
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
BN
যারা লোকের কাছ থেকে যখন মেপে নেয়, তখন পূর্ণ মাত্রায় নেয়

3
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
Sahih Int.
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
BN
এবং যখন লোকদেরকে মেপে দেয় কিংবা ওজন করে দেয়, তখন কম করে দেয়।

4
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ
Sahih Int.
Do they not think that they will be resurrected
BN
তারা কি চিন্তা করে না যে, তারা পুনরুত্থিত হবে।

5
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ
Sahih Int.
For a tremendous Day -
BN
সেই মহাদিবসে,

6
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Sahih Int.
The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
BN
যেদিন মানুষ দাঁড়াবে বিশ্ব পালনকর্তার সামনে।

7
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍۢ
Sahih Int.
No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
BN
এটা কিছুতেই উচিত নয়, নিশ্চয় পাপাচারীদের আমলনামা সিজ্জীনে আছে।

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌۭ
Sahih Int.
And what can make you know what is sijjeen?
BN
আপনি জানেন, সিজ্জীন কি?

9
كِتَٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ
Sahih Int.
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
BN
এটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।

10
وَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Sahih Int.
Woe, that Day, to the deniers,
BN
সেদিন দুর্ভোগ মিথ্যারোপকারীদের,
10
11
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
Sahih Int.
Who deny the Day of Recompense.
BN
যারা প্রতিফল দিবসকে মিথ্যারোপ করে।
11
12
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
Sahih Int.
And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.
BN
প্রত্যেক সীমালংঘনকারী পাপিষ্ঠই কেবল একে মিথ্যারোপ করে।

13
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Sahih Int.
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
BN
তার কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করা হলে সে বলে, পুরাকালের উপকথা।

14
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
Sahih Int.
No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.
BN
কখনও না, বরং তারা যা করে, তাই তাদের হৃদয় মরিচা ধরিয়ে দিয়েছে।
14
15
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
Sahih Int.
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
BN
কখনও না, তারা সেদিন তাদের পালনকর্তার থেকে পর্দার অন্তরালে থাকবে।
15
16
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Sahih Int.
Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
BN
অতঃপর তারা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে।

17
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Sahih Int.
Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."
BN
এরপর বলা হবে, একেই তো তোমরা মিথ্যারোপ করতে।

18
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ
Sahih Int.
No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.
BN
কখনও না, নিশ্চয় সৎলোকদের আমলনামা আছে ইল্লিয়্যীনে।

19
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
Sahih Int.
And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun?
BN
আপনি জানেন ইল্লিয়্যীন কি?

20
كِتَٰبٌۭ مَّرْقُومٌۭ
Sahih Int.
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed
BN
এটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।
20
21
يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
Sahih Int.
Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
BN
আল্লাহর নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্ত ফেরেশতাগণ একে প্রত্যক্ষ করে।
21
22
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
Sahih Int.
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
BN
নিশ্চয় সৎলোকগণ থাকবে পরম আরামে,

23
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
Sahih Int.
On adorned couches, observing.
BN
সিংহাসনে বসে অবলোকন করবে।
23
24
تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Sahih Int.
You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
BN
আপনি তাদের মুখমন্ডলে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের সজীবতা দেখতে পাবেন।

25
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍۢ مَّخْتُومٍ
Sahih Int.
They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.
BN
তাদেরকে মোহর করা বিশুদ্ধ পানীয় পান করানো হবে।

26
خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌۭ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ
Sahih Int.
The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
BN
তার মোহর হবে কস্তুরী। এ বিষয়ে প্রতিযোগীদের প্রতিযোগিতা করা উচিত।

27
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ
Sahih Int.
And its mixture is of Tasneem,
BN
তার মিশ্রণ হবে তসনীমের পানি।
27
28
عَيْنًۭا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
Sahih Int.
A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.
BN
এটা একটা ঝরণা, যার পানি পান করবে নৈকট্যশীলগণ।
28
29
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ
Sahih Int.
Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
BN
যারা অপরাধী, তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে উপহাস করত।

30
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
Sahih Int.
And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
BN
এবং তারা যখন তাদের কাছ দিয়ে গমন করত তখন পরস্পরে চোখ টিপে ইশারা করত।

31
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ
Sahih Int.
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
BN
তারা যখন তাদের পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছে ফিরত, তখনও হাসাহাসি করে ফিরত।

32
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ
Sahih Int.
And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
BN
আর যখন তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে দেখত, তখন বলত, নিশ্চয় এরা বিভ্রান্ত।

33
وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَٰفِظِينَ
Sahih Int.
But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
BN
অথচ তারা বিশ্বাসীদের তত্ত্বাবধায়করূপে প্রেরিত হয়নি।

34
فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ
Sahih Int.
So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,
BN
আজ যারা বিশ্বাসী, তারা কাফেরদেরকে উপহাস করছে।

35
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
Sahih Int.
On adorned couches, observing.
BN
সিংহাসনে বসে, তাদেরকে অবলোকন করছে,
35
36
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ
Sahih Int.
Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
BN
কাফেররা যা করত, তার প্রতিফল পেয়েছে তো?
